Maintenance-Free Rod End

The maintenance-free rod end is designed to operate without lubrication. It is available with external or internal threads. The end is designed for moderate to slow movements and small to moderate rotation angles. In addition to this, it is also suitable for changing or unidirectional loads. The lip-shaped seals on the ends prevent dirt and water from entering the joint. As a result, they can be used in a variety of applications and are an excellent choice for industrial applications.

A maintenance-free rod end is composed of a Maintenance free rod end steel housing with a threaded shank, a spherical plain bearing, and an integral thread. The housing is galvanized to resist corrosion. The spherical plain bearing is fixed in the housing. There is no need to lubricate the end. The maintenance-free rod end is designed for high-speed applications, and it can be used for both continuous and intermittent loading.

The maintenance-free rod end is made of steel with a zinc-coated outer ring and a spherical PTFE-lining. These rod ends have a steel shank with a threaded inner ring and a maintenance-free spherical plain bearing. The inner ring is made of carbonchromium steel and is galvanized. A corrosion-resistant grease is recommended for use with maintenance-free rod ends.

The maintenance-free rod end is also known as a self-lubricating, spherical bearing. It consists of a steel housing with an integral shank and a spherical PTFE FRP sliding contact surface. The housing is zinc-coated to prevent corrosion. Stainless steel and FRP materials are used in maintenance-free rod ends. When evaluating the maintenance-free rod end, keep in mind that the threaded shank and spherical plain bearing are essential components of the unit.
